Training Team Helper
Support the Next Generation of EFCT Therapists.
Learning Emotionally Focused Therapy is more than learning a framework. It is an experience of slowing down, staying present, taking risks, and growing through practice. Our training team helps create the environment where that learning can happen.
Training Team Helpers support ACEFT's EFCT Externship and Core Skills trainings, working alongside trainers to create a welcoming, organized, and engaging experience for participants. From experiential exercises and small-group activities to supporting participants throughout the training day, Training Team Helpers help hold the learning environment so that participants can focus on developing their EFCT skills.
What Training Team Helpers Do
Training Team Helpers may:

Support trainers during experiential exercises
-
Facilitate or assist with small-group activities
-
Help participants navigate training activities and transitions
-
Support the overall flow and learning environment
-
Assist trainers with participant needs during the training
-
Help create a welcoming and connected training experience
Training Team Helpers support the trainer—they do not replace the trainer. This is a support role, not a clinical supervision or independent teaching role.
Is This Role a Good Fit for You?
Training Team Helpers must:

Be current ACEFT members
-
Meet ACEFT's training requirements for the specific training they support
-
Have a working familiarity with Emotionally Focused Therapy and the relevant training material
-
Be able to commit to the full training day(s)
-
Be dependable, engaged, and responsive to trainer direction
-
Be comfortable supporting experiential and small-group learning
-
Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and confidentiality
-
Be in good standing with and committed to upholding ACEFT’s Code of Conduct
-
Agree to additional code of conduct guidelines specific to helping with ACEFT Trainings.
