Emotionally Focused Therapy Trainings
The Atlanta Community for Emotionally Focused Therapy (ACEFT) provides a range of training programs approved by the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT). These programs cater to therapists at various stages of their EFT journey and include: EFCT Externship, EFCT Core Skills, EFIT Essentials, and Specialty Trainings.​

This introductory-level training provides participants with a foundational understanding of Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy principles and techniques. The Externship offers an immersive learning experience that equips therapists with the basic skills necessary to begin implementing EFCT in their practice. It is the first step in formal EFCT training.

The Core Skills Series is designed for therapists who have completed the Externship and want to deepen their expertise in EFCT. This training is a requirement for certification in EFCT.
